2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials.

Financial Data

When you connect your Stripe account via Stripe Connect, we access payout data, transaction details, fees, refunds, and chargebacks from Stripe (read-only access), and create journal entries in your QuickBooks account on your behalf. We store transaction metadata (such as payout IDs, amounts, and sync status) to provide the service and maintain sync history. We do not store full payment card numbers or sensitive customer financial details from your Stripe account.

Third-Party Account Access

We use official APIs provided by Stripe and Intuit (QuickBooks) to access your accounts. You authorize this access through secure OAuth connections. To enable automatic background syncing, we store OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens securely on our servers. These tokens allow us to access your accounts on your behalf without requiring you to re-authenticate. You can revoke access at any time through your Stripe or QuickBooks account settings, or from within SyncFast. Revoking access will delete your stored tokens and disable automatic syncing.

Billing Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card details on our servers. We may retain billing records such as subscription status, plan tier, and payment history.

Usage Data

We may collect information about how you access and use the service, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on pages.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our service
  • To automatically sync your Stripe payout data to QuickBooks in the background on a recurring basis, using the authorization you have granted
  • To create and manage your account
  • To process subscription payments and manage billing

  • To monitor and analyze usage trends

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our service (e.g., email delivery, hosting), subject to confidentiality obligations.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Our infrastructure runs on SOC 2-compliant cloud providers. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Transaction metadata and sync history are retained to support your use of the service and for audit trail purposes. If you cancel your account, your data will remain accessible for 30 days, after which it will be deleted. You may request immediate deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Some data may be retained for longer periods where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as dispute resolution. If your account is terminated by us, we will retain your data for 30 days before deletion, unless otherwise required by law.
