Your Stripe payout schedule is not your accounting calendar.
A payout that arrives on Monday may include sales from Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. A payout that arrives in January may include activity from December. If the payout date becomes the reporting date for everything inside it, revenue and expenses can land in the wrong day, month, or even year.
SyncFast's new Daily Summaries feature fixes that reporting boundary. For bookkeeping purposes, Stripe activity is summarized at daily granularity, based on when the activity occurred rather than when Stripe bundled it into a payout.
What Each Daily Summary Includes
SyncFast creates one summary per connected Stripe account, per completed accounting day, and per currency. Each summary shows:
- Gross sales
- Net movement in the Stripe balance
- Processing fees
- Refunds
- Disputes and dispute reversals
- Other balance activity
- Transaction count
Payout movements are kept separate from the activity totals, so moving cash from Stripe to your bank does not change the day on which the underlying sales and costs are reported.
Why Daily Granularity Matters
Daily summaries give accountants and business owners a useful middle ground: more accurate than payout-level reporting, but far cleaner than sending every individual Stripe transaction into the books.
That helps with:
- Period accuracy: December activity stays in December, even if the payout arrives in January.
- Consistent reporting: Changing from daily to weekly payouts does not move sales between accounting periods.
- Faster review: Sales, fees, refunds, disputes, and net movement are visible together for each day.
- A cleaner audit trail: Each total is tied to a specific Stripe account, date, currency, and transaction count.
- Less accounting noise: A day's activity can be reviewed as one concise summary instead of hundreds of separate records.
For a small business, that means cleaner source data for financial reporting. For an accountant or bookkeeper, it means fewer payout-boundary questions at close and a clearer starting point for reconciliation.
What “Daily” Means for Your Books
Daily Summaries use the date of Stripe payment activity. They are not a replacement for invoice-date revenue recognition, Accounts Receivable, or deferred-revenue schedules.
If your business uses accrual accounting, your accountant should keep the appropriate revenue-recognition workflow. The daily summary remains a dependable view of the payment-side activity that moved through Stripe.

Open Daily Summaries in the SyncFast dashboard to review activity by month, Stripe account, and currency. Yesterday's summary will usually appear 12–13 hours after the day ends, allowing time for Stripe's reporting data to become complete.
Sign in to SyncFast and see your Stripe activity organized the way a set of books expects it: one accounting day at a time.
